The purpose of Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) Common Message Document Distribution System is fast, securely, confidentially transmission and reception of all kind of documents which are stored in computers and military messages between the users included the scope of the project.

MEDAS Sub-Systems;

•  Military Messaging System (STANAG 4406)

•  Open Key Infrastructure (X 509 and S / MIME)

•  Directory Index System (ACP 133, X 500 )

By military messaging service; between all the units authorized to written official correspondence, in accordance with military standards with digital sign capability exchange of materials comprising "CONFIDENTIAL" secrecy degree including "CONFIDENTIAL" materials such as documents, message, report, letter, picture, graphic and all kinds of documents stored in computers.

"Digital Sign" service is provided for military messaging service by usage of Open Key Infrastructure System and of Smart Card.

By Directory Index System; Whole of the addresses and certificates within the system are managed and submitted to access of users.
